The closing of taxiway C had been informed in the Notam that was effective onthe day of the occurrence. There was no sign or indication available to the pilotthat there was an excavated area in the runway strip. The MOS 139 requires thesurface of the runway strip adjacent to the runway, shoulder or stopway shall beflush with the runway surface, shoulder or stopway. However, due to the work onthe runway shoulder without properly marked for day and night operation mayreduce the pilot awareness, resulted in the aircraft damage when passed by theveered off aircraft. Therefore, KNKT recommends to ensure the hazard surroundthe movement area are properly mitigated and marked.
