The un-serviceability mark of white cross on runway of Susilo Airport had not been completed at that time of occurrence, the uncompleted crossed white mark and the appearance of all normal runway markings made the pilot did not aware that the runway had been closed for operation. Therefore, KNKT recommends to ensure the process of airport certification are properly conducted before release an aerodrome certificate.

In the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 31 of 2021 Article 22 it is stated that the revocation of the SBU is carried out with the provisions of NOTAM publication and deleting data from AIP.Further provisions for this revocation process are regulated in the Draft Regulation of the Director General of Civil Aviation concerning Airport Certification/Registration as well as in the SOP checklist for Airport Safety Supervision to ensure that airport administrators have published NOTAMs, deleted AIP data, and deleted visual aids.
