The FAA is continuing to review airworthiness standards and associatedguidance related to equipment and systems installations, as well as validating the associatedassumptions for flight crew behavior during design and certification. The FAA reached out toour international partners in these areas and will work with industry to improve methods foridentifying the failure conditions that may prevent continued safe flight, when landing is extremely improbable, and ensure that qualified flight crew members can safely perform all tasksassociated with the intended functions of systems and equipment.
