   1. Share the lessons learned from the collision with entire fleet :a. A Safety alert was sent to all vessels immediately after the collision and re-enforced the company's navigation procedures/posters when sailing in congested water, high traffic area and in restricted areab. The collision was reviewed thoroughly at the annual “Officer Conference” in December 2012c. Two independent “Safety workshops” were conducted in October and December 2012, which were attended by the crew and shore personnel2. Update SMS with focus on sailing through high traffic and restricted areas:a. Completed a thorough review of existing “On board training matrix” for officers of every rank and made amendments on deck officer levelb. Amended the shore weekly operation meeting agenda to specifically include any navigation/safety issuesc. Amended poster 037 “Instruction for the watch at sea. Bridge watch composition” to cover specifically congested water/coastal water/high traffic areasd. Added into SMS a new bridge checklist “Navigation in coastal waters”e. Amended posters “Officer on watch” and poster “Captains standing instructions for duty officer on watch”f. Implementing “DNV NAVIGATOR” as an obligatory tool for passage planning
