The Staff Instruction (SI) 8900-2.1 included a procedure for the inspector who conducts the certification process of aircraft operator to retrieve a compliance statement of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, including compliance to the CASR Part 19 (Safety Management System). During the audit and surveillance, the DGCA also included the oversight in the Safety Management System area, in accordance with SI 8900-6.3.
