Kronologi & deskripsi kejadian
At about 0800 UTC (1600 LT), the helicopter departed from Benoa Heliport for sightseeing flights to several areas on the south coast of Bali Island. During the sightseeing flight the pilot several kites near the helicopter flight path. About 1 Nm from GWK Area with the estimated coordinate of 8°48’4” S; 115°10’26.8” E at altitude about 1,000 feet, the pilot heard an abnormal sound from the main rotor blade and decided to return to Benoa Heliport. At about 1612 LT, the helicopter landed at Benoa Heliport. During the post-flight inspection, the pilot and engineer found kite string entangled in the main rotor and tail rotor system.
